For the last couple of months, we have been in talks with a television production company about the possibility of them filming the development and building of the Skull Coast Brewery for a TV series. And, while I was hopeful that they would select Skull Coast for an episode, you never know who else they might be talking to and if they thought we would be right for the program.
Well, that question was answered when we received an NDA, our Appearance Releases, and news that Skull Coast was chosen as the first episode to be filmed for the upcoming season!
Okay, before you ask: the Non-Disclosure Agreement prohibits us from mentioning the program or cable network. This is routine for TV shows like this until such time as either the production company or the network releases us to begin promoting the episode in coordination with their marketing and/or on-air promotions. It's kind of like we couldn't talk about the upcoming beer magazine article that will be out soon. Once we are given the go-ahead from the magazine or it hits the stands, we can talk about it. Same deal here.
While this is all fantastic news for the company, I really need to get ready for my close-up! Mark and Alexa look great. But, I'm a fright. I need to drop some tonage in the next couple of weeks. Doing spreadsheets and going over architectual plans and brewery designs in front of the computer has done some serious damage to the mid-section, not to mention the ol' punim. It's like my face is carrying around an extra 15 pounds all by itself. Maybe I could do a Rob McElhenney (from "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia") and grow a full beard and just explain it away as an attempt to develop a funny new storyline for the show by gaining weight. Or, I could just stop eating and run. Better yet, maybe I should just crack a beer to celebrate... and think about it tomorrow.
