Quick Updates: Equipment & Part-Time Position

Skull Coast Brewing Tanks.I just want to quickly announce that the first container of our brewing equipment arrived on our shores last week, has cleared customs, and is currently on a truck on its way to an offsite location to be warehoused until our floors are laid. The equipment would have been on its way to the brewery in Hickory, but we are currently waiting on a drain that can handle 200+ degree temperatures before we cement the floor.

The second shipment (with the final containers of equipment) is leaving Europe and should be here in about three weeks.

PART TIME BREWERY POSITION

We would also like to announce that we are accepting applications for a part-time brewery assistant. This is an entry-level position at low hourly rate. This position is really tailored to someone who is looking to break into brewing, and willing to hustle every day for the love of making great beer. It should be noted that preference will be given to those that have a Heavy-duty Pickup Truck that can make short pick-ups and deliveries within the City of Hickory. In the next couple of days we will give a proper job description. But, we thought we would at least mention it here.

First Look: Skull Coast Brewing Tanks

Bavarian Brewing Technologies just sent me the following pictures of the Skull Coast Brewing tanks from Europe. I have been informed that the tanks are ready for shipment. All wrapped up ready to go! Now we just need a place to store them. Who has room to store these bad boys in their garage?

Brewery Equipment Update

I just got off the phone with Dr. Lewis Harsanyi from Bavarian Brewery Technologies, and am pleased to report that our equipment is three weeks away from being completed!

From what I understand all four fermenters and the one bright tank have been completed. They are putting the final touches on the Ketttle, and the combination Mash-Lauter Tun will be done next week. They have also started the Hot and Cold Liquor tanks, and anticipate them being completed in two weeks. After assembling the entire package at the manufacturing facility to test the equipment, it will be loaded and shipped!

The equipment will take about a month in transit before hitting the Charleston, SC port. Once there it goes through customs and will make it's way up the 26 and 77 Freeways. We're getting close folks! Very exciting!

Brewery Equipment Update

Just got off the phone with Bavarian Brewery Technologies, and the equipment is being produced at a rapid pace! From what I understand, they are done with our four fermenters and are currently working on the brewhouse vessels. And, I'm not sure if I mentioned this in previous equipment posts, but the brewhouse vessels will have a titanium alloy with a copper color appearance similar to this:

These vessels are obvious much larger than the ones we have coming. But, Bavarian makes some really beautiful brewing equipment.
